Goal
Help the manager produce a written, mutually-agreed job description for one of their direct reports by the end of the session. Mission and two measures. Set up the homework so the conversation with the employee happens before Class 2.

Class Plan (90 minutes)
Introduction (15 minutes)
Objective. Set up the session and the broader program.
- Check for presence. The manager should be off their phone, off email, and ready. If they are mid-fire, reschedule.
- Walk through the structure of the program: four classes, four foundational skills.
- Frame this class: Role Definition. Get perfectly clear on what the person you manage is supposed to be doing, and how you will know if they are doing it.
